Si è svolto, ieri, 20 ottobre 2019, l’ultimo atto del T.I.C. 2019.
I contendenti si erano già sfidati lungo un arco temporale di sette mesi, mettendosi alla prova in otto tappe: l’insidioso Parco di Villa Ada, il nuovo percorso urbano di Colli Aniene, i classici appenninici di Monte Livata, Vallepietra, Fondi di Jenne e Prato Capito, con due “sconfinamenti”, sempre molto apprezzati, ad Apecchio (sprint cittadina) e a Monte Nerone, nella zona di Pesaro-Urbino.
Il gran finale, quest’anno, è stato riservato ad una delle realtà boschive più affascinanti tra quelle ammirate periodicamente dai visitatori occasionali e dai comuni frequentatori della zona.
La Macchia Grande di Manziana è da molti considerato un territorio orientisticamente affascinante, ma temibile. Con la sua fittissima rete di sentieri e di tracce di viottoli, a volte a malapena intuibili, che si perdono nel fitto di una vegetazione ricca di sottobosco e pericolosamente uniforme, mette spesso in difficoltà persino atleti esperti e pluridecorati.
E anche in questa occasione, la fama della Macchia è stata rispettata, costringendo diversi concorrenti ad abbandonare la ricerca di qualche lanterna introvabile oppure a pagare dazio per colpa del tempo perduto per ritrovare la retta via.
Alla fine, comunque, come da tradizione, ristoro e sorrisi per tutti ed analisi approfondite e comparate delle cartine, per analizzare la gara.
In ME la vittoria finale è andata a Francesco Mariani (Orsa Maggiore), assente nell’ultimo atto vinto da Giacomo Nisi (CCR), davanti a Michele Fiocca (CCR) e a Daniele Guardini (Orsa Maggiore). Per Jack secondo posto finale, con Daniele terzo.
In WE successo per Andreina Brandi (CCR), nonostante un errore che le è costato 5/6 minuti al punto di controllo 13, ma trofeo che va ad Adrienne Brandi (CCR), davanti alla sorella e ad Anna Maria Stocoro (Enea), capace di scavalcare all’ultimo atto Margherita Kurschinski (Orientalp)
Stefano Zarfati (CCR) ha suggellato la leadership in M45 aggiudicandosi anche la gara conclusiva, mentre Gilberto Cicconi (Enea) ha salvato la seconda piazza, nonostante una gara difficile, grazie al ritiro di Marco Dominici (CCR), terminato a sua volta terzo in virtù delle insidie che hanno frenato la possibile rimonta di Stefano Bisoffi (Cus Torino).
Ritiro con palma della vincitrice per Manuela Manganelli (CCR) in W35, che alla fine ha conservato solo 1 punticino di margine su Natascia Bisogni (Pol Castello) e si è giovata dell’assenza di Helen Rollins (CCR), terza nel computo finale.
Gli altri trofei sono andati a Filippo Mariani (Orsa Maggiore – M12), Lorenzo Galli (Pol Castello – M16), Riccardo Marino (CCR – M65), Angelo Sbaraglia (GO Subiaco – MB), Marta Fabriani (Pol Castello – W16), Cristina Galli (CCR – W55), Tatiana Mucci (CCR – WB).
Il sottoscritto ha come al solito subito il fascino delle sirene della Macchia, finendo per perdersi nei gorghi della lanterna 8, in cui è rimasto a galleggiare oltre cinquanta minuti, prima di prendere la via del ritiro.
Portandosi, però, a casa, un pizzico di esperienza in più, tanto sano divertimento all’aria aperta, l’odore della carne alla brace dei barbecue intorno alla zona di partenza ed un sacchetto di eccellenti castagne, dono gradito di un orientista e spazzolate velocemente a cena a mo’ di consolazione.
